the hour hand doesn't lie
because timing is all it is
like dough that won't rise for the oven
or the tartness of an unripe apricot
the wrong time overrides
everything else that's right
never getting what i want
and occasionally getting what i don't
though everything could be in place
the right timing always eludes

Do you welcome feedback? I enjoy your stuff. Let me know :-) I enjoyed the repetitive use of the "r" to suggest a difficulty within time but the ending was abrupt. Annnnnd if you didn't want constructive critism, I am sorry for having bothered you.

Constructive criticism is always welcome too - I just rarely give thought to structure or convention when I write, it usually just flows until it stops
